David Allie since 1982

This Blog is on all things me and what I'm into at the moment. It will vary greatly day to day, but I hope this will show a general trend of getting better and better no matter the change.

  • Blue Collar Gentlemen was a good time last night. Always great seeing Cold Men Young live. The energy they being to the table is immense and they always keep the crowd involved. I’m taking notes fellas.

The the legendary 5 Ela rocked as only they can. Sicari, Mudd, and Thyme gotta be 3 of the coolest and most supportive brothas out. They got some joints for you ladies out there so know that underground hip hop is not just for the fellas. Lol.

After the sets cats even cyphered with a live band. It’s been a minute since I’ve stepped in a cypher on stage. I aim to do more of that in 2012 just for the love of it. I’m trying not to be on my jaded shit in 2012 and beyond. I was so inspired I freestyled on the ride home by myself.

And last but not least I would be on some bullshit if I didn’t mention my brotha Dante LaSalle getting it in on the turntables and then on the freestyle tip. Dope on both fronts.

I missed a couple of the beginning acts but heard they were dope due to an early set Progress Report rocked at the Berkley Front in support of the homie Smoke’s new album. Wish I could’ve split myself in two and been at both venues for the duration of the evening. Feeling real good about this Detroit music this morning.
